The Independent Directors Association AAI invites you to the launch of Chapter Zero România, which will take place on 10 November 2021, 11:00 – 13:00 EET.  Organised by the Independent Directors Association AAI in Romania, in partnership with KPMG in Romania, this virtual event will bring together high-ranking representatives from the public, private and academic sectors, including the Climate Governance Initiative (CGI) and the World Economic Forum.
Chapter Zero România is the Romanian Chapter of the Climate Governance Initiative, an international network of board directors established by the World Economic Forum in 2019 with a collective aim to address climate change at board level. There are currently 15 Chapters and with Climate Governance Singapore launching on 28th October, Chapter Zero Romania will be the 17th Chapter.
The Independent Directors Association AAI and Chapter Zero Romania aim to mobilise executive and non-executive directors on the boards of Romanian companies to promote the implementation of the World Economic Forum’s Principles for effective climate governance in the companies they serve, to facilitate the transition to a net-zero carbon economy by 2050.
