Corneliu Ciobanu has significant experience in internal audit and risk management, accumulated over more than 20 years. A graduate of the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Corneliu specialised in internal audit, compliance, and fraud prevention, holding CIA and CFE certifications.
Since 2005, Corneliu has held important positions at Vimetco Alro, a vertically integrated company, where he led the internal audit function to ensure efficient and compliant operations. He developed and implemented audit processes based on organisational risk assessments. Additionally, he integrated technology and advanced data analytics into the audit process, enhancing its efficiency and effectiveness.
Key achievements include improving internal control systems, minimizing the risk of fraud and errors, identifying potential business risks, and avoiding legal issues by ensuring the company’s compliance with various regulations.
Previously, Corneliu held various roles at top firms such as Ernst & Young, Moore & Stephens, and PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he led and executed complex financial audits for various firms (banking sector, automotive manufacturing, extraction and mining, and naval industry), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

Cristian ALEXE has an important experience in the field of civil aviation in Romania with an activity of approx. 20 years. As a graduate of the Politehnica University of Bucharest - Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, he specialized in his professional activity in airport management with an emphasis on operational safety.
Since 2008 he held important positions within the Bucharest National Airports Company (CNAB), the company that manages the capital's airports, with a 2019 passenger traffic registered of over 14 million passengers and approx. 300 aircraft movements per day. He currently holds the position of Airport Safety Director, being responsible for the safe operation of aircrafts 24/7 and in all weather conditions, without any operational incidents at the airports managed by CNAB.
Since 2017 he was nominated in the board of ?tefan cel Mare Airport in Suceava, accepting the challenge of managing the activity of a regional airport and having as objectives the improvement of business activity and efficiency targets and the increase of passenger traffic in order to facilitate the connectivity of Romania's Northeast region in the European Context.
Cristian ALEXE holds numerous qualifications and specializations in the aeronautical field from designing flight procedures to ensuring business continuity and leadership. Having a certification as ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) auditor in the airport field he was invited to participate in audit activities of airports from three continents.

Gabriela is an executive with a professional experience of over 28 years in the financial-banking activity, acquired in the field of financial-accounting management and internal audit in international banking groups.
For 8 years she joined the Idea Bank project, initially in the role of Chief Audit Executive, and later as Executive Vice President, coordinating the Financial Accounting, Controlling and Logistics Divisions. She currently holds the position of Financial Executive Director in the same bank, part of the largest Financial Group in Romania – Banca Transilvania S.A..

Florin Andrei is a finance professional with over 15 years of experience in the financial industry, mostly in banking, currently holding the position of Risk Control Director within NN Romania. Since November 2010 Anca holds the position of Area Manager Eastern Europe managing all IATA activities in the region, working closely with governments, airport authorities, ANSPs, member airlines, and other industry stakeholders. Between 2008 and 2010 Anca has been part of the Simplifying the Business team as Program Manager Eastern Europe, Russia & CIS managing the transition to 100% electronic ticketing and automated passenger processes.

Prior to joining IATA in 2006 as Country Manager Romania and Moldova, Anca worked for 10 years in the British Airways in Bucharest office in various positions from Customer Services at the Airport, Finance Executive, Account Manager for Travel Agents, Town office Supervisor, and Commercial Executive.

Before British Airways she was a Flight Attendant Instructor and accredited Romanian Civil Aviation Authority Cabin Safety Inspector, providing ground and in-flight training for flight attendants.

Sorana Baciu is an independent director and international consultant with extensive knowledge in policy formulation, strategy development, change management, and corporate governance. She has over twenty years of experience in senior positions in the private and public sectors. As Managing Partner of Acgenio, a consulting firm, her expertise is regularly sought out by international institutions such as the World Bank and EBRD.
Since 2015 Ms. Baciu has served as a non-executive director on the boards of both public and private companies, such as Alpha Bank Romania, Idea Leasing, SNGN Romgaz SA, and IAR SA.
Ms. Baciu was State Secretary with the Ministry of Economy (2015-2016) and the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (2016-2017) and was responsible for the Industrial Policy, Competitiveness and Corporate Governance for SOEs. Sorana Baciu also headed the Inter-ministerial Committee for the accession of Romania to OECD (2016-2017).
In the last ten years, Sorana actively promoted corporate governance standards in both public and private businesses in Romania and the CEE region. From 2017 to 2021, she has been the president of the Association of Independent Administrators in Romania, whose mission is to promote corporate governance for business excellence, and member of the Board of ecoDa (European Confederation of Directors Associations).

Alexandru Bute has a background in various front and management roles and pockets of finance, from Sales & Trading to Asset Management, to Consulting and to Wealth Management, combined with more and more stints with entrepreneurs in the tech and non-tech space along the way. Raluca Buturca is an engineer and has a doctorate in Product Life Cycle Assessment and Carbon Footprint obtained as part of an inter-university collaboration between the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the "Dun?rea de Jos" University of Galati, in 2015. After completing her studies, she pursued a career in the field of sustainability and activities related to environmental aspects, both in companies in Romania and abroad. Relevant to her career are the positions held at Inèdit Innovación - Barcelona, Arcelor Mittal - the Luxembourg company and EY Romania.
In 2022, Raluca founded 10Ability.eu, a company that offers consultancy services in the field of sustainability, carbon footprint and product life cycle assessment, at the same time being involved in two European projects through which it offers support and advisory services to Romanian companies eager to expand their business on the European and international market. Her practical experience in the field of sustainability has crystallized in particular through the support given to companies in the energy and IT fields regarding the awareness, identification, quantification, reporting and improvement of environmental and social corporate governance aspects.
Raluca is a convinced supporter of all aspects of sustainability related to both the activity of companies and of citizens, and thus has dedicated a large part of her career to assisting companies in their journey on the path of sustainable business transformation.

Dragos Cabat has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial and banking sector in Romania. He worked in investment banking as a research analyst and corporate finance executive, and then in commercial banking as branch manager, chief economist, trainer, and risk director with UniCredit, OTP and Citi.

Since 2012 he is a managing partner with www.risco.ro, the leading business intelligence website in Romania.

Dragos holds an MBA since 1995, and is a CFA® charterholder since 2000. He was a President, Vicepresident and Board Member of CFA Romania during the period 2001-2013, a member of the Index Committee of the Bucharest Stock Exchange in Bucharest during the period 2007-2014, and a member of the Supervisory Board of Certinvest since 2010.

Having  a large professional background,  Ph.D. in economics, economist and jurist, I gained robust experience in managing Financial and Accounting departments, as well as Audit Departments, in a wide range of fields, both in local and multinational companies, including listed companies.

I participated as CFO as well as Member of Directorate of SPEEH Hidroelectrica SA, the largest power producer in Romania, at the greatest transformation of a Romanian State own company. We managed to change Hidroelectrica from a company in insolvency to Romania's most profitable company in 2016, with a gross profit of almost lei 1.8 billion (according to IFRS) over the profits obtained by OMV Petrom and respectively ROMGAZ.

I have been focused on banking and financial and non-banking legislation, especially in the field of NFIs where I have worked for over 7 years. I know the legislation applicable to the energy sector where I also worked for about 4 years. I have participated to the implementation of many ERP systems, Oracle, Navision, SAP, etc. for which I have received European awards.

I am a member of the professional associations of accountants, auditors, tax advisors and internal controllers and I am a follower of corporate governance, including SOX type, as an effective tool for risk management but alsof or increasing the wealth of shareholders.

Alina Mioara Cobuz Bagnaru is a Senior Lawyer and a member of the Bucharest Bar since 1995. Radu Craciun is currently CEO of BCR Pensions after being in the previous 2 years the Chief-Economist and Director of Financial Markets Research at Banca Comerciala Romana. Until the spring of 2016, Radu Craciun was the Chairman of the Romanian Association of Financial-Banking Analysts. His professional background blends the solid expertise acquired on the one hand in financial markets research and asset management and, on the other hand, in corporate governance and strategic management.
Radu Craciun has been working for more than 17 years in domestic and international financial markets, holding positions such as: Chief Investment Officer in Eureko Private Pensions, Chief Analyst in ABN AMRO Bank Romania and ABN AMRO Securities Romania. On top of the already mentioned professional background comes the additional expertise in corporate governance acquired both as Senior Consultant in Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, and subsequently as member of the Eureko Pensions executive team or as a Board member of the Romanian Pension Funds’ Association. Since 2018 he is the President of the Association.

He graduated from the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering and holds a Master’s degree in Organisational Development from the University of Hertfodshire in Great Britain. Cristian is a business advisor, strategist and manager, specialized in large scale digital transformation and cybersecurity projects both in the private and public sector, a graduate of international relations studies in Bucharest holding a MBA from Northwood University, USA.
His career had a successful entrepreneurial focus for over 15 years in cybersecurity, becoming a professional in this field after implementing and consulting on complex projects from security base-lining, preemptive protection, remediation to resolution. He is a certified auditor in system’s security and risk management and the current interests outline cybersecurity strategy, intelligence and architecture in national critical infrastructure.
In 2016 he has taken on a more complex challenge, becoming the first Government CIO in Romania, part of a Technocrat Government, with responsibilities as State Secretary to coordinate and accelerate the national digital transformation initiatives, interoperability and cybersecurity within all government entities, to develop the enterprise and governmental cloud architecture and to align the technology projects, investments and resources with the objectives of the national strategy.
Throughout this public sector engagement, he has served in several additional roles such as the national critical infrastructure advisor to the Prime-Minister from 2017 to 2019.
In 2019 he joined Nuclearelectrica as CIO, a nuclear power generation organization, highly respected among international peers. He was responsible to develop a 4-years digital transformation strategy, lead ICT and digitalization initiatives, develop a modern and integrated technology architecture, capable of managing IT, OT, IoT and hybrid threats. He also submitted and won an EU-financed project to develop the first public sector Romanian ISAC (Information Sharing and Analysis Center) dedicated to improving cybersecurity in the energy sector.
In 2021 he has named advisor to the minister of Finance, receiving a mandate to accelerate the digital transformation initiatives, interoperability and cybersecurity within MoF and to develop the MoF RRF/PNRR digitalization financing plan of +360mEUR. He was also in charge with the operationalization of the EU Cyber Center, the first EU Agency to be hosted in Romania.
He is currently a strategic advisor for large multinationals for digital and business process transformation, cybersecurity and public sector engagement. He is advising on RRF/PNRR and other financing options for tech projects.

Founding Member

Valentin has a 20-year work experience in investment banking/corporate finance and private equity investment funds and another 7 years as engineer in a construction and installation company for the oil and gas sector. During his career, he provided M&A advisory services for mergers & acquisitions of companies, including privatizations, identified investment opportunities in Romanian companies for foreign private equity funds and, after the completion of the transactions, he represented the investors in the Board of Directors of the acquired companies, supporting the improvement of their performances.

Currently, Valentin is Member of the Supervisory Board of Complexul Energetic Oltenia, one of Romania’s largest energy companies and Senior Project Manager with NCH Capital, an US-headquartered private equity fund with more than 3bn USD under management.

Previously, he was Senior Project Manager and Investment Director, respectively, for two private equity funds dedicated to Romania – Axxess Capital and UK-based NBGI Private Equity, as well as M&A Director for one of Romania’s largest industrial groups – UTI.

Between 1998 and 2006 he worked as Investment Manager and, subsequently, as Corporate Finance Director for the investment banking company Capital S.A. (renamed Eurobank Finance S.A. after being acquired by the Greek group EFG Eurobank), when he represented the UK private equity fund Romanian Reconstruction Capital in the Board of Directors of investee companies and advised on several M&A transactions, respectively.

Valentin started his career in finance in 1996 with the UK-based investment bank Charterhouse Bank plc., and started his professional carreer as an engineer with CIPROM (Constructions and Installations for the Oil Industry – Romania).

He got his Electrical Engineering MSc. degree in 1988 from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest and since 1996 he holds an MBA degree from the University of Quebec a Montreal / Canadian MBA Program in Romania. Gabriela Hartescu, PhD

Mihai Ionescu is a banker with a long-standing career in investment banking and special opportunities investment experience in global banks. Mihai started his investment banking career at Credit Suisse in the Financial Institutions group covering European banks in the CEEMEA space (Greece, Turkey, Russia CIS, CEE) and later was part of the leadership of the Emerging Markets coverage group in IBD. He also served as a trader on Credit Suisse’s Special Opportunities desk that had a $2.0bn mandate across the capital structure and across all industries and geographies.
Since 2012 Mihai served as Country Head for Deutsche Bank in Romania, where he had a generalist mandate covering the sovereign, corporates, financial institutions and private banking clients across all divisions of the bank. Mihai’s developed DB’s real estate investment banking franchise in CEE serving the largest REITs in the region and serving on the board of One United Properties, the largest high-end residential developer in Romania. In addition, Mihai developed unique transaction and industry expertise in the IT sector (software development and cyber security).
Furthermore, Mihai served as the Chairperson of DB Global Technology S.R.L. (Deutsche Bank’s technology center in Romania creating financial technology for the use of the DB group globally), a subsidiary which he established in 2014 and for which he was successful in securing a €17.5mn state aid subsidy and saw grow to c. 1,400+ FTE in 2022. At DB Global Technology Mihai developed strong, insightful software industry operating and resourcing skills, giving him unique insights into the tech industry.
Since August 2022 Mihai serves as a non-executive director on the board of Electromontaj S.A., the largest power generation connectivity builder in Romania and since November 2022 on the board of Homes 4 Life S.A., a home builder.
Mihai holds an undergraduate degree in Finance & Banking from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest. Neil McGregor is a British corporate & commercial lawyer and man of business who has been based in Bucharest since 1996, working with international and local companies in various countries in south central Europe.  A corporate governance specialist, he began his career working with listed companies in the UK and began to invest in listed companies in the privatisations carried out under Margaret Thatcher’s government.  As well as dealing with the practical issues of regulatory disclosures, organising general meetings of shareholders and liaising with institutional investors, his UK experience includes taking one client company to an initial listing on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) and subsequently to a full listing on the London Stock Exchange.
In addition to the legal work which he and his colleagues provide for Romanian companies (including mergers and acquisitions work relating to listed and unlisted targets), Neil continues to provide legal work under English law for companies in the UK, using the same standards in each.  This includes dealing with company secretarial work, such as acting as the company secretary of a regulated educational charity in the UK.
Particularly since becoming the Chairman of the bilateral British Romanian Chamber of Commerce, Neil has sought to use the Chamber and its links with business, government and diplomacy to promote good corporate governance and, consequently, of the participation of good companies with sustainable businesses in the capital markets.

Daniela has been an active contributor to business associations such as AmCham, FIC, BRCC, Dutch Chamber for the past 20 years and she plays an active role in the AmCham Board of Directors since 2013, being the acting Vice-president.  She acted as the President of AmCham in 2015/16 and Chair of some of the most participative AmCham barricades: the EU Funds, Taxation, Real Estate and Environmental Committees.  In addition, she also coordinated and chaired the EU Funds Task Force within the Coalition for the Development of Romania (2013-16), promoting the interests of its members in dialogue with other business associations and the Government.

Emma Popa-Radu has been active in investments and Private Equity for over 20 years. She spent 17 years with Advent International, one of the largest and most experienced global private equity houses, of which 10 years as Managing Director, responsible for investments in Romania, and for a while, Turkey as well.

Emma was responsible for a number of investments in Romania - mobile telephony, pharmaceuticals (generics), medical services, construction materials (paint, lacquers, adhesives and bricks), outdoor advertising, and Turkey - leasing, bread products and furniture. Mioara Popescu has been active in the Romanian banking industry for over 27 years, out of which, in Idea Bank SA (and in its predecessor Romanian International Bank) for the last 20 years.
Over the time, she had a steady growth in her managerial roles, successively holding positions of Branch Manager, Executive Vicepresident and Executive President. She adopts a participative-consultative managerial style and has a special talent for optimizing business flows and processes.
For the first 12 years after graduating in 1985 from the Faculty of Planning and Economic Cybernetics, she has worked as a computer scientist and, in 1997 she accepted the challenge of managing a branch of CEC SA, with 13 agencies under her command. Livioara Sujdea is a senior executive with an experience for over 13 years in top management roles within important Groups of companies as E.ON  and Electrica, with a rich experience for over 25 years in the energy field, acting also in the Boards of Directors of the Groups' companies. The gained experience encompasses almost the entire spectrum of activities within the companies she worked, in both strategically and operational role, covering large scale initiatives such as restructuring, transformation, mergers, processes reengineering and operational efficiency projects, in the context of increased dynamics within the energy sector. She currently works in Bucharest, holding the role of executive director for the Distribution area within Electrica, being responsible for the coordination of several strategic projects, which aims at an extensive transformational process.

Florentina Susnea is the managing partner of PKF Finconta with over 26 years of experience in tax area, using her experience gained over the years for a large number of clients with a wide range of activities.

Her professional experience includes areas such as statutory audit and IFRS, tax consulting, tax residence issues, financial restructuring and tax documentation and policies of Transfer Pricing, mergers and demergers, M & A, judicial, accounting and tax expertise, due diligence for acquisitions.

Speranta Tirsar is a business advisor, with a 20+ years experience in international financial companies, where she has acquired an important expertise in business set-up and development, at a regional level.
Between 2010 and 2017, she was Head of Central and Eastern Europe of SACE SpA, the Export Credit Agency of Italy. In this role, she set up the regional CEE office in Bucharest, defined the growth strategy and managed the operations of the hub in the 15 countries of the region. In her activity, Mrs. Tirsar worked with supranationals, governmental insitutions, multinationals, local blue chips, SMEs and banks in the region. Besides the origination and execution of large deals, specific to the ECA world, she actively supported SMEs and initiated new products for them inside SACE.
Up to 2010, Mrs. Tirsar gained a vast experience in the banking sector, having had various managerial positions in ING Bank Romania.

I currently hold the position of Legal Manager of SN Nuclearelectrica SA since January 2022, conducting management and oversight of all legal aspects of the company activity, mainly as:
Coordinating the litigation and consultancy department and the legal advisory department; Providing legal opinions, drafting commercial contracts, legal support for contracts negotiations, drafting the corporate decisions of the company;
Providing legal support for the organizational structures of the company, including the two branches (FCN Pitesti Branch – Nuclear Fuel Producer and CNE Cernavoda – Nuclear Power Plant with 2 CANDU units);
Legal advisory activity for public procurement issues, investment projects and conclusion of power sale agreements;
Legal support for the negotiations with the selected investor for the new build nuclear power project of the company and refurbishment project;
