President
Simona Fatu is an experienced director standing for more than 17 years in the management boards and boards of directors of subsidiaries of international financial institutions, privately-owned listed companies as well as in majority state-owned companies from energy sector, mineral resources, and real estate. Her area of expertise includes, without being limited to corporate governance, business strategy, strategic management, corporate finance, and business development. In 2021, she held the position of State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy being responsible for the portfolio management of 70 state-owned companies.

Simona has been awarded, in 2021, by Henley Business School, University of Reading with a Post Graduate Certificate in “Board Practice and Directorship”. She is also passionate corporate governance lecturer with various public and private educational institutes.

Theodor Alexandrescu has more than 20 years of international experience in Executive Management, as CEO and Board Member within AIG, MetLife and Zurich Insurance.
Forward-thinking executive with an accelerated career trajectory, ensuring consistent business growth in life insurance, pension and health insurance within markets from CEE and the EMEA Region.

Some highlights during his career include the initiation and coordination of two major structural reforms in different geographical areas: Health Reform (Dubai, UAE 2014-2018) and Pensions Reform (Romania, 2006-2008).

The set-up of successful greenfield Life Insurance and Pension companies and drive results to leading market positions and high profitability is another achievement Theodor ticked.

Also, Theodor successfully implemented and integrated M&A processes in Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania.

Ileana Botez

Ileana is one of the pioneers of the Romanian capital market, having an experience in this field for over 25 years. Since 1995, she works on the Bucharest Stock Exchange and has a rich experience in the corporate field, activating at the BSE as secretary general of the company, coordinating as a director the activity of admission to trading of the companies on the main market of the Stock Exchange and of the intermediaries to trading, the company's shareholder activity, the marketing activity, the communication and international relations specific to this field, as well as the corporate governance. Ileana is currently coordinating the admission to trading at BVB, as well as financial educational program "Fluent in Finance".
She is a graduate of Romanian-Canadian MBA - Finance specialization, of Faculty of Finance and Banking - Bucharest Economic University, Dimitrie Cantemir University - Faculty of Law, as well as a trainer certified by NAC. Since 2020 she is a PhD student at the Bucharest Economic University, Doctoral School of Finance with a topic in the field of corporate governance.
From 2016 she is actively involved in volunteer associations, being the President of Professional Women’s Network Romania, Vice President of the Independent Directors’ Association, member of the Romanian Association of Financial Banking-Analysts, Association of Legal Advisers in the Financial-Banking System and Bucharest School of Business Graduates and Students Association.

Ileana is a mentor and a mentee within PWN Romania and was a mentor in the Association for Values in Education (AVE). From 2016-2021 she coordinated the organization of 3 programs within PWN Romania, Women on Boards Academy, “How to become a successful member of the Board of Directors”, “Competencies Lab for a Board of Directors’ member - An accelerated presentation” and the ongoing “Competences for an efficient & responsible Board”, and starting from 2021 the first mentoring program dedicated to ladies who want to become a Board member. She also represented ASEMER (Association of Spanish Companies in Romania) in the period 2017-2019 in the Coalition for the Development of Romania in the Group dedicated to the Financial Market and Corporate Governance.

Dragos Cabat has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial and banking sector in Romania. He worked in investment banking as a research analyst and corporate finance executive, and then in commercial banking as branch manager, chief economist, trainer, and risk director with UniCredit, OTP and Citi.

Since 2012 he is a managing partner with www.risco.ro, the leading business intelligence website in Romania.

Dragos holds an MBA since 1995, and is a CFA® charterholder since 2000. He was a President, Vicepresident and Board Member of CFA Romania during the period 2001-2013, a member of the Index Committee of the Bucharest Stock Exchange in Bucharest during the period 2007-2014, and a member of the Supervisory Board of Certinvest since 2010.

Dragos published a large number of articles in Romanian and international press, and is frequently interviewed by TV and radio stations on various economic topics.

Stefan-Alexandru Frangulea are o experienta de 20 de ani în sectorul financiar-bancar si în cel energetic, în domenii precum: servicii bancare pentru corporatii, trezorerie corporatista, finante corporative, strategie, piete financiare si de capital, management general, dezvoltarea afacerii, in pozitii executive si de management. Absolvent al Academiei de Studii Economice, facultatea Finante, Banci, Asigurari si Burse de Valori precum si al programelor profesionale Executive MBA ale Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (WU) si IEDC Bled School of Management, Stefan s-a alaturat echipei Electrica în februarie 2018 pe pozitia de Director Departament Trezorerie, Colectarea Creantelor si Managementul Riscului de Credit, ulterior devenita in urma modificarii organigramei Director Departament Trezorerie. De asemenea, Stefan este membru al Consiliilor de Administratie ale celor trei filiale de distributie a energiei electrice din cadrul Grupului Electrica si anume SDEE Transilvania Nord SA, SDEE Transilvania Sud SA si SDEE Muntenia Nord SA.
Stefan are o vasta experienta in sectorul bancar, lucrand in zona de servicii bancare pentru corporatii pentru mai multe institutii bancare de top, precum Citibank, Raiffeisen Bank, UniCredit-HVB Tiriac si Erste Bank-BCR, find responsabil inclusiv de relatia acestora cu companii din sectorul energetic. A fost de asemenea Trezorierul responsabil pentru gestionarea lichiditatii institutiilor financiare nebancare din cadrul Grupului Garanti (fost GE Money) si Vice-Presedinte pentru Finantarea Clientilor in regiunea Europei de Sud Est in cadrul General Electric (GE) Corporate.
In perioada octombrie 2012-septembrie 2016, Stefan a fost membru al Consiliului de Administratie al Companiei Nationale “Administratia Canalelor Navigabile” SA, pozitie obtinuta in urma recrutarii realizate de o firma de recrutare in baza OUG 109/2011, in perioada martie-septembrie 2016 fiind chiar Vice-Presedinte al Consiliului de Administratie.
In perioada aprilie 2014-noiembrie 2016, Stefan a ocupat diverse pozitii in cadrul SPEEH Hidroelectrica SA, incluzand pozitiile de Sef Serviciu Strategie si Manager Departament Strategie si Cooperare Internationala, cu atributii legate de restructurarea si pregatirea companiei pentru listare. Intre noiembrie 2016 si noiembrie 2017, Stefan a fost Bancher Principal in cadrul biroului local al Bancii Europene de Reconstructie si Dezvoltare.
Stefan este unul din membrii fondatori si actualmente Presedintele Consiliului Director al Asociatiei Trezorierilor din Romania, organizatia profesionala a trezorierilor de corporatie din tara noastra, afiliata la European Association of Corporate Treasurers (EACT) si International Group of Treasury Associations (IGTA).

Carmen Seghete

Carmen Seghete is a professional in investment management with over 20 years of experience and leadership in investment funds and listed and unlisted companies, management of companies, financial management and corporate governance. Since 1996 she has been executive and/or non executive director, member of Supervisory Boards or Boards of Directors in 20 public and private companies from Romania and Bulgaria active in the manufacturing industries (Braiconf, Macofil, Orgachim, Orgachim Resins, Policolor, Ruse Chemicals, Titan), industrial services (Imsat), logistic services (First Logistics and Distribution, Silotrans, Socep), investment management and financial advisory services (New Europe Capital), brokerage (Capital Securities), real estate (Rolast), etc. Currently she is a non executive Board member of Policolor.

Carmen has built and managed portfolios with public and private companies from Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia, she has organized and negotiated the acquisitions and sales of the companies in the portfolio of the investment funds she has worked for, managed the relationship management-shareholders-directors of parent and subsidiary companies, was deeply involved in the financial activity of some investee companies (budget projections, financial results, evaluation, audit, consolidation) sometimes being member of the Audit Committee (Orgachim), contributed to the development of companies through buyouts or sales of assets / divisions / plants / companies, relocation of activities and factories, mergers and demergers, have identified and hired people in top management and negotiated their motivational packages.

Carmen graduated from the Bucharest Polytechnic University with a M. Eng. in Electronics and Telecommunications, and attended numerous training and specialization courses in finance both in Romania and abroad.

Florentina Șușnea

Florentina Susnea is the managing partner of PKF Finconta with over 26 years of experience in tax area, using her experience gained over the years for a large number of clients with a wide range of activities.

Her professional experience includes areas such as statutory audit and IFRS, tax consulting, tax residence issues, financial restructuring and tax documentation and policies of Transfer Pricing, mergers and demergers, M & A, judicial, accounting and tax expertise, due diligence for acquisitions.

Florentina collaborates with other members of the PKF International Limited network to provide a more holistic approach in advising its customers on cross-border tax issues.

Florentina is an accredited member of the following professional organizations: Chamber of Tax Consultants, Chamber of Financial Auditors in Romania, Chamber of Expert and Licensed Accountants of Romania and Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists.

Florentina graduated the Faculty of Finance and Accountancy of the Academy of Economic Studies, the Faculty of Law of “Titu Maiorescu” University, the MBA Programme of Tiffin University USA, has a PhD in Economics and has attended several national and international courses focused on financial aspects.
