Cristian ALEXE has an important experience in the field of civil aviation in Romania with an activity of approx. 20 years. As a graduate of the Politehnica University of Bucharest - Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, he specialized in his professional activity in airport management with an emphasis on operational safety.
Since 2008 he held important positions within the Bucharest National Airports Company (CNAB), the company that manages the capital's airports, with a 2019 passenger traffic registered of over 14 million passengers and approx. 300 aircraft movements per day. He currently holds the position of Airport Safety Director, being responsible for the safe operation of aircrafts 24/7 and in all weather conditions, without any operational incidents at the airports managed by CNAB.
Since 2017 he was nominated in the board of ?tefan cel Mare Airport in Suceava, accepting the challenge of managing the activity of a regional airport and having as objectives the improvement of business activity and efficiency targets and the increase of passenger traffic in order to facilitate the connectivity of Romania's Northeast region in the European Context.
Cristian ALEXE holds numerous qualifications and specializations in the aeronautical field from designing flight procedures to ensuring business continuity and leadership. Having a certification as ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) auditor in the airport field he was invited to participate in audit activities of airports from three continents.
