Robert Maftei has over 18 years of leadership in banking, leasing and automotive industries with considerable expertise in organizational and business development, corporate affairs and sales.
Mr. Maftei played a crucial role in developing the portfolio and major business segments for groups such as BRD Groupe Société Générale and UniCredit, his experience covering a wide range of activities in the field of corporate & trade finance, financial leasing and operational leasing. In recent years, he coordinated the significant expansion of Arval and UniCredit’s presence in the operational leasing market. His focus was on accelerated but sustainable growth, implemented different solutions of change management, automatization and digitalization.

Robert had various roles in Executive Committee, Board or Administration Committee for different companies from BNP Paribas or UniCredit group.

Mr. Maftei successfully managed different local and international projects, with multi-disciplinary teams and effectively dealt with different stakeholders (both internal and external).

Robert Maftei is a graduate of the Executive MBA program at the Vienna University of Business and Economics and holds a PhD in Economics from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest. Moreover he graduated Diploma program of Open University UK, as well as a Master in Banking Management and European Integration In-Depth Courses at Academy of Economic Studies. He has a bachelor in Economics and Business Law. His passions are sailing and traveling.
