Nicoleta has a solid experience of over 27 years in banking industry. She had various leadership and management roles, in multinational leading banking groups. In addition to managing extensive teams and dynamic organizational structures, she created and implemented commercial strategies for different customer segments, managed local or group business models, coordinated projects to optimize the business model and operational efficiency, implemented ambitious shareholder strategies, was involved in risk management in both times of growth or severe crises, and took part in complex banking mergers.
Alongside her professional activity, Nicoleta has acquired leadership and communication skills, as well as negotiation skills, in collaboration with extended teams, with different interests and expectations and possesses networking skills at a key decision-makers level, as well as with executive team or board of directors. She is a leader with initiative, able to confidently use her solid professional experience, but she is also open to getting new skills, understanding new perspectives and turning every interaction into a success.
Acting as a professional in a strictly regulated and supervised industry, has embodied her with the highest ethical standards and a strong sense of compliance, correctness, and transparency, to the highest extent.
Nicoleta is highly motivated by new projects, which she embraces with joy and enthusiasm and strongly believes in continuous development and learning. She is continuously and responsibly enhancing her skills for independent director roles by starting the stagiary programme for the profession of Financial Auditor (CAFR, 2023) She holds a Certification in Project Management (®PMP, 2022) as well. As a senior professional, prepared for a role of an independent woman on board, Nicoleta is fully committed to bring a unique set of experiences and viewpoints that can contribute to a more inclusive and well-balanced decision-making process in the boardroom.
Nicoleta graduated Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE), specializing in Finance and Banking (1995), holds a diploma of Advanced Studies (Master) in Macroeconomics at Dofin-ASE (1996) and is a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Finance, Bucharest University of Economic Studies (2023), specializing in Corporate Finance, leading her research toward corporate governance, boards diversity and impact on corporate risks.
