Dr. Mugur Popescu, CFA is an executive with more than 20 years experience in top tier multinational financial institutions such as Citibank, Unicredit Bank, Aviva, BCR Erste and Raiffeisen and is currently Vicepresident of CFA Romania.
He has also served as member of the Board in several large organizations:

• Since 2016, he is Board Member and President of the Audit and Risk Committee of National Salt Company – SNS SALROM;
• Since 2015, Vicepresident of CFA Romania; During 2002 -2014, served CFA Romania and CFA Institute organization in several roles as founding member, and VP/Board Member where implemented several projects: Coordinator of local CFA Investment Research 2012-2018 as Coordinator, Grader, Regional Grader and Judge; Standard Setting Process for CFA Exam;
• In the period 2014-2017, Board Member and Head of Investment Committee for Romanian Pension Funds Associations;
• In the period 2012-2016, Board Member and President/Member of the Audit Committee of National Company for Inland Waterways;
