Ileana is one of the pioneers of the Romanian capital market, having an experience in this field for over 25 years. Since 1995, she works on the Bucharest Stock Exchange and has a rich experience in the corporate field, activating at the BSE as secretary general of the company, coordinating as a director the activity of admission to trading of the companies on the main market of the Stock Exchange and of the intermediaries to trading, the company's shareholder activity, the marketing activity, the communication and international relations specific to this field, as well as the corporate governance. Ileana is currently coordinating the admission to trading at BVB, as well as financial educational program "Fluent in Finance".
She is a graduate of Romanian-Canadian MBA - Finance specialization, of Faculty of Finance and Banking - Bucharest Economic University, Dimitrie Cantemir University - Faculty of Law, as well as a trainer certified by NAC. Since 2020 she is a PhD student at the Bucharest Economic University, Doctoral School of Finance with a topic in the field of corporate governance.
From 2016 she is actively involved in volunteer associations, being the President of Professional Women’s Network Romania, Vice President of the Independent Directors’ Association, member of the Romanian Association of Financial Banking-Analysts, Association of Legal Advisers in the Financial-Banking System and Bucharest School of Business Graduates and Students Association.
Ileana is a mentor and a mentee within PWN Romania and was a mentor in the Association for Values in Education (AVE). From 2016-2021 she coordinated the organization of 3 programs within PWN Romania, Women on Boards Academy, “How to become a successful member of the Board of Directors”, “Competencies Lab for a Board of Directors’ member - An accelerated presentation” and the ongoing “Competences for an efficient & responsible Board”, and starting from 2021 the first mentoring program dedicated to ladies who want to become a Board member. She also represented ASEMER (Association of Spanish Companies in Romania) in the period 2017-2019 in the Coalition for the Development of Romania in the Group dedicated to the Financial Market and Corporate Governance.
