Gabriela Hartescu, PhD
Gabriela is a strong believer in the power of education, especially at the leadership level, where the challenges are more acute and decision process has an integrated impact, both economic and social. With over 25 years of experience in the field of professional training and academic education in finance and banking, she held various top management positions and responsibilities, both in Romania and at the European level: CEO at the Romanian Banking Institute, Member of the Board of Directors and Chairperson of Triple E EFCB Committee at the European Banking and Financial Services Training Association etc. Currently, Gabriela is the Chair of the Academic Committee at International Association for Sustainable Economy and the President of the Banking Commission, International Chamber of Commerce within the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a member of professional associations such as: Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and Association of the Romanian Financial and Banking Analysts. She holds a PhD in Finance from the Academy of Economic Studies Bucharest.
Currently, she is the Dean and member of the board at Envisia – Boards of Elite and in this capacity she fosters and encourages research within the school and supports curriculum development, the initiation and design of new programs in line with Envisia’s overall curricula objectives and serves as the education and academic representative of the school to external bodies.
