Senior business leader with extensive experience in the financial services industry.

As Executive VicePresident of Alpha Bank Romania, Cristian is currently responsible for running the retail banking activities.

Prior to joining Alpha Bank, he held various local executive management (C-Level) and board membership positions with GE Money (a division of GE Capital, the financial services unit of General Electric Company) and Garanti Bank (currently part of BBVA Group).

Areas of expertise include retail banking, SME banking, insurance, consumer finance, and leasing. His 20yrs+ professional experience accumulated in multi-cultural environments covers execution of accelerated organic growth strategies, mergers & acquisitions, post acquisition integration projects, and digital transformation programs.   

Cristian Dragos graduated from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest (Aerospace Engineering Department) and received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Rollins College (USA).

He is also a graduate of GE Capital’s Global Leadership Development Program, a CFA charterholder, and has completed an executive education program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
