Senior Executive, with more than 20 years of experience in General Management and Corporate Governance in several industrial sectors in Romania.
From November 2010 to September 2017 Bogdan was the President of Smithfield Romania, a Group of companies which includes distinct operational entities responsible for as many different complementary sectors, in the pork meat production industry starting with hog farming / feed mill production (Smithfield Farms), hog sloughtering / fresh pork meat production and processing (Smithfield Prod), and ending up with wharehousing distribution and logistics (Agroalim Distribution and Logistics). He served as CEO and Chairman for all the companies mentioned above besides his involvement in the leadership of other industry professional associations : Vice President of APCPR (The Association of Hog Farmers/Pork Meat Producers from Romania), Member in the board of ARC (The Romanian Meat Association), Member in the board of OICP/OIPA.
Bogdan has extensive experience in the consumer goods industry, with substantial functional track record in general management, business development, NPD, production, marketing and distribution.
Bogdan Mihail joined Smithfield Romania in 2007 as Managing Director of Smithfield Ferme. Previsosly he served as Vice President and CEO of Prodal Group.
He is a graduate of ‘Carol Davila' University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, Romania. During 1999-2001, he took an Executive MBA at ASEBUSS & Washington University of Seattle, followed in 2002 by Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School (HBS) USA. In 2006 he graduated the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD France.
Bogdan is a member of IoD (Institute of Directors) UK since 2010 and Fellow since 2014. He is a certified International Director (INSEAD IDP’c) since 2015 and coresponding member of EcoDa (the European Confederation of Directors Associations) for Romania.
