Boards’ Responsibility in the context of ESG
Chapter Zero Romania and the Independent Directors Association AAI in partnership with CMS Romania invite you to the online event “Boards’ Responsibility in the context of ESG” to explain and discuss the first three Principles of climate governance of the World Economic Forum.
Ana Radnev, who is a partner, coordinator of the financial-banking law practice at CMS Romania and co-head of the sustainable finance department of CMS, and Cristina Reichmann, who is a partner in the financial-banking and capital markets department at CMS Romania, will discuss the first three Principles on climate governance and effective management of climate risk at board level, namely:
- (i) the responsibility to ensure that the company adapts to climate change;
- (ii) ensuring the necessary level of knowledge of the risks and opportunities related to climate change to make informed decisions; and
- (iii) the structure of the board and committees.
Along with their guests Sorana Baciu, independent non-executive Board member of Alpha Bank Romania, Ilinca von Derenthall, CEFA, CWMA, Chairperson of the Board of Nominees, Fondul Proprietatea, Peter Jansen, PhD, Professor at the London School of Business and Finance and Axel Kravatzky, PhD, Partner of Syntegra – ESG and Vice President ISO/TC309 Governance of Organizations, Ana Radnev and Cristina Reichmann will discuss key issues on the involvement of non-executive board members in promoting and implementing the Principles of the World Economic Forum on climate governance using corporate governance in the transition of companies to a low-carbon economy.
