With 22 years of business and management advisory experience within Big4 in Romania and Central and Eastern Europe, Daniela Nemoianu is a highly experienced top executive, having participated in hundreds of transactions and large projects, including greenfield investments, major privatization deals and governmental projects. She has a reputable experience in risk management, corporate finance, regulatory and management consulting and is specialized in financial services, infrastructure, public sector and energy.
Her extensive representative roles have included Executive Partner, Head of Advisory, Head of Markets and Head of Legal of KPMG in Romania, Chair of the Supervisory Board of KPMG Central and Eastern Europe, Co-Chair of US Embassy Overseas Security Advisory Committee in Romania, and member of Chairman 25, a strategy think tank of the most important KPMG young leaders worldwide. Her academic background includes a Doctorate in Financial and Tax Law, as well as a Master’s degree in European Law, Pantheon-Sorbonne University & Bucharest University. She has also attended advanced business and leadership courses at Duke University, Harvard Business School and Insead. She is currently the Senior Partner of Nemoianu Consulting, an advisory firm specialized in legal, tax and risk advisory.
Since October 2016, Daniela is an independent member of the Presidential Commission appointed by the President of Romania to initiate Project Romania.
Daniela has been an active contributor to business associations such as AmCham, FIC, BRCC, Dutch Chamber for the past 20 years and she plays an active role in the AmCham Board of Directors since 2013, being the acting Vice-president. She acted as the President of AmCham in 2015/16 and Chair of some of the most participative AmCham barricades: the EU Funds, Taxation, Real Estate and Environmental Committees. In addition, she also coordinated and chaired the EU Funds Task Force within the Coalition for the Development of Romania (2013-16), promoting the interests of its members in dialogue with other business associations and the Government.
Aside from her work, Daniela enjoys getting involved in community projects, especially those relating to the business environment, rule of law, anti-corruption, education and environmental protection. Daniela is also a Board member of Teach for Romania, an international organization focusing on transforming education for a better future. She is a member of Professional Women Network in Romania.
