Marius Ghica is a seasoned finance and strategy executive with 25 years of senior-level experience across audit, corporate finance and M&A. Since March 2022, he has served as Group CFO of GreenGroup—a leading private equity-owned, CEE-focused recycling platform—where he oversees Finance, IT, Legal and ESG functions and sits on the Management Board of the group’s largest PET division.
Prior to joining GreenGroup, Marius was CFO of E-Infra Group (2019–2022), where he also sat on the Board of Nova Power & Gas, the group’s energy arm. From 2003 to 2018, he held a series of senior roles at KMG International (Rompetrol)—including Managing Director of Corporate Development, Group Finance Director and CFO of its Dyneff subsidiary in France—where he spearheaded major initiatives in performance-management, restructurings and M&A within the Group. Earlier in his career, from 1996 to 2003, Marius advanced from Junior Auditor to Senior Manager in Andersen and EY Romania, gaining deep expertise in audit, risk management and transaction advisory.
Beyond his executive responsibilities, Marius brings extensive board and project leadership experience: he has overseen equity raises and debt financings, led strategic development projects, driven complex corporate restructurings and managed ratings with major rating agencies. He began his academic journey in the Aeronautics Department of Bucharest Polytechnic University, holds an MBA in Finance (magna cum laude) from the University of Ottawa and ASE Bucharest, and is a Fellow of the ACCA. In 2023 he completed the Deloitte Executive Leadership Institute’s CEO program, and in 2024 earned a Certificate in Board Practice and Directorship from Henley Business School. A native Romanian speaker fluent in English and French, his interests include history, geopolitics, macroeconomics and strategy.
