Carmen Seghete is a professional in investment management with over 20 years of experience and leadership in investment funds and listed and unlisted companies, management of companies, financial management and corporate governance. Since 1996 she has been executive and/or non executive director, member of Supervisory Boards or Boards of Directors in 20 public and private companies from Romania and Bulgaria active in the manufacturing industries (Braiconf, Macofil, Orgachim, Orgachim Resins, Policolor, Ruse Chemicals, Titan), industrial services (Imsat), logistic services (First Logistics and Distribution, Silotrans, Socep), investment management and financial advisory services (New Europe Capital), brokerage (Capital Securities), real estate (Rolast), etc. Currently she is a non executive Board member of Policolor.
Carmen has built and managed portfolios with public and private companies from Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia, she has organized and negotiated the acquisitions and sales of the companies in the portfolio of the investment funds she has worked for, managed the relationship management-shareholders-directors of parent and subsidiary companies, was deeply involved in the financial activity of some investee companies (budget projections, financial results, evaluation, audit, consolidation) sometimes being member of the Audit Committee (Orgachim), contributed to the development of companies through buyouts or sales of assets / divisions / plants / companies, relocation of activities and factories, mergers and demergers, have identified and hired people in top management and negotiated their motivational packages.
Carmen graduated from the Bucharest Polytechnic University with a M. Eng. in Electronics and Telecommunications, and attended numerous training and specialization courses in finance both in Romania and abroad.
