Alina Mioara Cobuz Bagnaru is a Senior Lawyer and a member of the Bucharest Bar since 1995. She is also a member of the International Bar Association (IBA – Section of Business Law), an Arbitrator of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, an Associated Lector of the Academy of Economic Studies, an Arbitrator of the Bucharest Chamber of Arbitration, a FIDIC specialist and a claim and litigation expert.
She represented the Romanian State and multinational domestic and foreign companies in over 80 internal and international arbitration cases in Paris, London, Viena, Zurich, Geneva and Osaka, all of which were conducted under the rules of ICC, CAB, UNCITRAL, FIDIC or ICSID. These cases derived from privatisation contract, consultancy contracts, infrastructure project, technological investment project and other alike. She is the author of Ad-Hoc Arbitration under the UNCITRAL Rules, published by Universul Juridic.
Since 1999 she is the Managing Partner of Cobuz & Associates Law Firm and Senior Partner since the same year.
Alina graduated from the Law School of University of Bucharest, she has a master’s degree in Business Law from the University of Sorbona and a master’s degree in Comparative Law from the University of Luxembourg. She is a Doctor of Law specialised in matters of internal and international arbitration. She is also a graduate of the Arbitration School of Bruxelles.
